Dutch Art History

The Netherlands has a long history in arts, especialy in paintings. Overall there are 5 generations of Dutch painters. Between 1615-1702 there’s an era called the golden age painting. This era started during and after the later part of the Eighty Years War (1568-1648) for Dutch independence. In this era, the Dutch painters were influenced by Italia painting. There are countless masterpieces that are produced across every category of painting. There’s also plenty of famous artists that contributed building the history. Adam Christiaensz Pynacker is one of them, he is known for creating landscape images. Starting as a wine merchant until one day he travelled to Italy and gone for three years. It gave him the inspiration for most of his artwork. Today, his artwork is displayed across the world. We could find it in amsterdam (his hometown), sydney at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, or even in the united states.
